Kevin Jagoe

Kevin Jagoe serves as the Director of Education at the American Humanist Association (AHA), where he oversees the growth, training, and development of the movement’s professional core of chaplains, celebrants, and community leaders.

A seasoned leader and movement builder, Kevin previously served as minister at BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, a dynamic, humanist-leaning congregation near Philadelphia. During his tenure, he cultivated a growing, inclusive community dedicated to collective action and ethical living—famously leading his congregation to challenge local ICE cooperative agreements in court, sparking widespread civic engagement and policy change.

Kevin brings a wealth of specialized expertise to the AHA's educational endeavors. He is an instructor for the Humanist Studies Program, former Chair of the AHA Board’s Education Committee, and previously served as the Director of Marketing and Development at the Humanist Institute. His background as a board-trained humanist chaplain at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, former Youth Director at the historic First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis, and President of the Unitarian Universalist Humanist Association highlights his deep commitment to organizing, youth engagement, and inter-organizational leadership.

Currently completing his doctoral degree, Kevin is also authoring a book on incorporating meaningful rituals into non-religious lives. Known for his collaborative approach and consensus-building skills, he remains dedicated to creating accessible pathways for the next generation of humanist professionals and mobilizing communities for social good.
