Join us in Chicago during the 2025 AHA Annual Conference for a fun day of training
The Humanist Society is offering a full day of training for current and future Humanist Celebrants. This class is designed to be informal, interactive, and inspiring. The goal of this course is to provide resources and perspectives to assist you in establishing or refining your celebrant practice. Topics of focus include Wedding Ceremonies, End of Life Memorials, Invocations, and much more!

Dr. Anne Klaeysen
Dr. Anne Klaeysen is Leader Emerita of the New York Society for Ethical Culture. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in pastoral care and counseling from Hebrew Union College, as well as masters’ degrees in German from SUNY Albany and business administration from NYU. Anne serves on the boards of The Encampment for Citizenship, Ethical Culture Fieldston Schools, and the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture, where she and her husband Glenn Newman were married and raised their children.
Rev. Kevin W. Jagoe
Rev. Kevin W. Jagoe (he/him) has been BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s minister since 2018 and provides rites of passage to the larger community as a Humanist Celebrant. He is a graduate of the Humanist Institute (now the Humanist Studies Program), completed his Master of Divinity at Meadville Lombard Theological School, and is currently working on his Doctorate of Divinity at United Lutheran Seminary. That research is on practices of connection for non-theists and the religiously unaffiliated. Kevin is Adjunct Faculty with the Humanist Studies Program of the American Humanist Association. He currently serves on the Appointments Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Association and chairs the Education Committee of the American Humanist Association. He is a contributor to the books Humanist Voices in Unitarian Universalism & Values in Action.
